Real Madrid arrived in San Francisco as they will face off against Club América at 7:30 pm (local time) on Tuesday night in their second pre-season game on American soil. San Francisco is the city where the game will be played at Oracle Park and that has welcomed Ancelotti’s team with a touch of spring temperature of 12 degrees which the Madrid players appreciate a lot in a highly demanding preseason.

The team arrived in San Francisco just after noon, after a short flight from Los Angeles, and went directly to the Four Seasons Hotel, where they will rest before the clash at Oracle Park.

Ancelotti is expected to continue handing out minutes to all the players, seeking more to adapt to the rhythm of the competition. There will be a clash against Juve next Sunday (4:00 am) and the team will come into the fray that will be very close to the one that plays on August 10 against Eintracht, with the Super Cup at stake.

The game against Club América will see the come-back of Karim Benzema, who was absent against Barcelona and is expected to play 45 minutes in the match. Carvajal hasn’t been able to make it and will need a few more days to recover from his ankle sprain in Los Angeles. The rest of the team is available and Lunin is the main one on the team.

The team was met with some 200 fans outside the hotel today. For those in the city, there is a tailgate party hosted by Peña Madridista Sur de California at Underdogs Cantina, from 3-6pm.

The gathering took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. Butragueño chatted with the group of supporters and posed for photographs.
