Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio was caught throwing a huge tantrum on the touchline after Carlo Ancelotti decided not to bring him on in the 4-1 win over Mallorca.

The defending La Liga champions have won five straight to keep their 100% start, after initially trailing underdogs at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

However, Asensio has only played 17 minutes so far this season, and his dissatisfaction with the lack of playing time seemed to boil over against Mallorca.

The Spain international has struggled at Real Madrid after being offered a Premier League club in the summer transfer window.

You may as well remember that just a few years ago, the 26-year-old looked like a world-class talent, but injuries and poor form have derailed his career a bit, meaning he was no longer a regular in the Madrid first team.

Asensio’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and there aren’t any suitable offers in the latest transfer window, what will his future hold?

Football pundit Romano believed Asensio is a perfect signing for Premier League clubs if he does end up leaving the Bernabeu. He said that Asensio can revive his career in English football, or perhaps in Serie A with long-time admirers AC Milan.

“I think he’s perfect in the Premier League, in the Bundesliga and in Serie A because AC Milan has admired him for a long time.”
