Real Madrid suffered a further injury blow after their midweek Champions League clash with Celtic.
Los Blancos won 3-0 in Glasgow but suffered the first-half loss to talismanic striker Karim Benzema. The Frenchman is a severe doubt for next Sunday’s Madrid derby and is likely to be out for around two weeks.
Brazilian defender Eder Militao has been described by Diario AS with a minor muscle injury. Militao was also replaced by Antonio Rudiger at half-time.
A time frame for his return has not been given, but he is expected to be back in time for the Madrid derby while resting against Mallorca this weekend and Leipzig in midweek.
With Rudiger, Ancelotti has a direct replacement, although Militao may not have been at his best against Atletico Madrid, which is far from ideal.
