Borja Mayoral is reportedly on the verge of leaving Real Madrid for Getafe. The two clubs have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of the 25-year-old forward for a fee of around €10m.

Borja Mayoral looks likely to head back to Getafe from Real Madrid when Los Blancos return from their pre-season tour in America. There are rumors that the striker will sign a contract with Getafe until the summer of 2027.

Does Mayoral enjoy his time at Real Madrid?

Following the expiration of his two-year loan deal at Roma, striker Borja Mayoral was promoted to the Los Blancos first team in 2016 but has subsequently been loaned out to numerous clubs over the years, in between brief spells at Madrid. The striker was last on loan at Getafe but was called up to Real Madrid’s pre-season training camp, where he hopes to force his way into the first team.

He had a fine 2020/21 season, but the last term he didn’t impress and joined Getafe in January.

Which club is likely to have the Spanish striker

Mayoral’s signing is a coup for Getafe – they fought off other suitors including Celta and several Serie A clubs. He enjoyed his loan spell at Getafe in the second half of last year, when he contributed six goals and one assist under Quique Sanchez Flores.
